Christmas and New Year 05-06 Spent some time in Moraira, just South of Valencia on Spain's Eastern coast. Then headed North to San Sebastian to meet up with the crew for New Years Eve. Good times.

Another Tas Tas evening.

From left: Mapes, Tash, Me, Jamie, Igor (random Spanish dude), Hambos, Kez and Howie.

2006 was to be christened 'The Year of the Pineapple.' Posted by Picasa

The best coffee machine in Western Europe...

The title says it all really....

We took it in turns to cook dinner in San Sebastian. This picture was taken during the 'shopping' expedition to grab things for the amazing dinner Kieran and I were going to cook...

I forget what was on the original menu - Laksa I think. Not the best idea when you can't figure out what is Spanish for coconut milk.

Our plan for putting 'el' and 'o' and the beginning and end of every phrase didn't seem to work in San Sebastian due to the vagaries of the local dialect! Posted by Picasa

Matt & Howie get the guns out...

This is another San Sebastian gem....

From left we have: Jamie, Howie, Jono, Kieran, Me & Lauren.

Tickets please! Posted by Picasa

New Years, San Sebastian, Spain

This tree, while fantastic, was actually outside of the official Christmas Tree period and so therefore doesn't qualify. But the nativity scene really capped the whole thing off for me. A suprise visit from the Virgin Mary also gave the diarama certain gravitas!

Unfortunately, we missed this visit as we were still in Moraira. But the photographic evidence had us convinced.

It certainly paved the way for a brilliant New Years Eve...(and all the nights leading up to it too!)

Christmas 2005, Moraira, Spain

This is the Crew for Christmas 2005 in Moraira, Spain :

They are, from left to right:

Mike
Howie
Me
TM
Diana
Kieran
Jono

An eclectic bunch. But we had a good time. Ate too much, drank too much etc etc. I'm sure you've heard it all before.

This is Jono, in all his glory. Apologies if you find this objectionable but it's just too good to leave out. He reckons his mum bought the outfit for him - I'm not convinced.

The other photo is of the boys at the summit of Ifach....the highest point around at a towering 332 metres above sea level.

The Best Christmas Tree in the Universe!

OK, I spoke too soon. Jono & Kieran's effort in Moraira has the 143 example topped. No question. It was the decorations that did it for me. Posted by Picasa

Chrimbo (that's Pommy for Christmas).

This is the best Christmas tree in the World. It is located at 143 Victoria Rise, London.
